More Simple Stories Urban Traveler

My last DT kit for Memorable Seasons consisted of Simple Stories Urban Traveler.  I love the colors in this collection, and just because it's travel-themed, doesn't mean it doesn't work for other projects!

I created this and it hangs on the knob of the armoire in our family room!  You've been warned!  I have a camera, and I'm not afraid to use it!

I used a travel collection to create a Christmas layout!  I love these self-portraits I snapped on Christmas Eve with my sister Susan and my brother Tom!  I love the way this layout turned out!

We were challenged by the AMAZING Colette to use a chalkboard background and a chalkboard font, and then her second challenge was to scrap a self-portrait.  I loved both challenges, and I decided to combine them!  Colette does a lot of those dotty circles, so I copies those too!  I think this layout is really fun, and I love those chalkboard fonts!  The lattice is by Jillibean Soup . . . very cool!

Two-Page Layout with Trendsetter!

I love Fancy Pants Trendsetter!  I haven't done a two-page layout is SO LONG, but I saw a fabulous double page layout by the amazing Becky Fleck of PageMaps fame! This is one of the May 2013 sketches:

So, I decided to document the passage of time. This is "A Year In The Life". I added the ". . . well almost", because that last photo was taken when Emily was 11 + months! Just shy of one year old!

This is my SWEET Emily who is now 17 years old!  Isn't she a CUTIE!?!

Neglected Blog!

Whoa!  I haven't updated my blog for way too long!  I'm just going to post a bunch of layouts!  All of them are from my awesome DT kits at Memorable Seasons!

March DT Kit!

I got a FUN mixed up kit as my March kit from Memorable Seasons!  I'm having fun with it!  It featured lots of different manufacturers!  Here's what I've made so far!

The card was made for my wonderful Emily who turned 17!  I can't believe it!  I am still having fun and playing with this kit!  I will post more soon!  Come and hang out at Memorable Seasons!  You will not be disappointed!  It's a fun group of ladies!

February DT Kit!

 I LOVE my February DT kit from Memorable Seasons!  ♥  It features Pink Paislee's Secret Crush!

I snapped this photo of my Mom & Dad on Christmas Eve.  It's sad how much has changed for my Mom since this photo was taken.  It makes me happy that I got this photo taken!  My Mom looks so happy in this photo, and seeing joy on her face lately is a rare thing.  However, I hope and pray for better days ahead for her.  When I want to see true love, I don't need to look any further than my own Mom & Dad.

I also created this cute card!  Fun stuff!

One Little Word - 2013

It just came to me.  I wasn't going to do it, but now I think I will.  I'm going to embrace one little word for 2013.

My word is:

EVOLVE

This year will be a year where I will be evolving into the person that I'm supposed to be.  There are many changes ahead for me.  Changes I cannot control, and yet, many changes that I can.  I need to constantly evolve.  Into a happier person, a better mom, a healthier ME.  This will be a year of changes.  I hope a lot of them are good and bring me joy.  We'll see!

Just to be different . . . TOP 26 LAYOUTS OF 2012! ♥

I was going to post my favorite 10 layouts from the year.  Then I thought 20, because I posted 20 favorite layouts last year.  But then I started looking, and I liked way more than 20, and eliminating was difficult!  SO, to be different, I posted 26!  No significance to that number, and no particular order, here are 26 layouts I created this year!  I love them all, and I feel bad for the layouts I cut!  LOL!

Echo Park This & That Christmas!

Hi there!  My fabulous December DT kit at Memorable Seasons consists of Echo Park's This & That Christmas!  This collection is very much ME, because it's very traditional!  I love traditional when it comes to Christmas!  Here's what I've created so far!

I love this photo of my gorgeous girls in their Santa hats!  Sisters in Santa hats!  CUTE!!  What do you think of that photo mat?  I cut it with my Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge!  FUN!

This fabulous image was on the backside of one of the papers.  I love the tone on tone!  I decided to showcase it on a card!  Of course, I added a jingle bell!  Jingle bells make everything more fun, don't you think!?!

I love making Christmas cards, so I made another one!  The greetings piece is a piece of chipboard.  Love it!  Another jingle bell!  What can I say!?!
